This landmark decision, announced by chairman Mohsin Naqvi, is poised to reshape player remuneration and classification, aiming for greater transparency and precision. The new system will lean heavily on advanced analytics and data, with Naqvi stating that an impressive 85% of contract decisions will be data-driven, thereby significantly reducing human intervention and potential biases.

He highlighted that the previous contract categories frequently led to contentious debates and dissatisfaction among players regarding their placements. “The contracts players used to get always resulted in debates about why players were placed in a particular category,” Naqvi remarked. “Even players were uncomfortable when they got a category they were not happy with.” The newly developed document, which outlines this revamped structure, is designed to mitigate such issues by grounding decisions in objective data.
